Kellie M. Martin, a native of the United States is an American actor and actress in the film and television industries. She is most famous for her roles as Christy Huddleston, Rebecca Thatcher and Lucy Knight on the series ER. She is also famous for her role as the main character in"The Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Born to a department store owner and a kindergarten teacher, Martin started her acting career in the age of seven when her aunt, who was a nanny for Michael Landon's children, helped her land a guest spot in the 1982 show "Father Murphy". After she graduated from Yale University in 1982, Martin decided to pursue her acting career more seriously. She landed significant roles on TV as well as the big screen. In addition to being an actress Martin is a skilled photographer as well as a dancer. She is a mother of two. Martin is the spokesperson for the nation for Lupus and is constantly raising awareness about the condition following the death of her sister from it at just 19.
